There
was a baker who used to buy butter regularly form a farmer. But after
some time the he had doubt that the weight was less than that was agreed
upon Next day when the farmer brought the butter he weighed it and it
was less. He felt that the farmer was cheating him all the while. So he
filed a case against the farmer.
Both
were called to the court and the judge asked the farmer how he used
to weigh the butter. The farmer replied that he was not well educated
& he has not learned how to use the modern weighing:scales. ‘I have
an old scale in my home. Every day I buy two packets of bread from his
shop. I keep the bread on the one side & the butter on the other
side. And I have been doing this for:years. But I never knew that the
weight of the bread was reducing.’ Replied the farmer. The backer was
punished for his cheating by reducing the content of the breads.
Human
beings are many times like this. They show honesty outside but many
times their actions are contrary. Let us remember that we can reap only
what:we sow!
Yahweh detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but listens to the prayer of the honest man.
